- Turn off the pool pump and heater.
- Shut off any pipe valves before the pump and after the filter if the system is below water.
- Take the lid off the pump basket and remove the basket. Inspect basket for damage, replace if needed. Wash the basket with the garden hose. Refit the basket with the hole of the basket towards the front inlet of the pump.
- Reprime the pump with water to top off the basket.
- Regrease pump lid ‘O’ ring and refit the lid of the pump.
- Open any valves that you may have closed.
- Turn on the pump and watch to prime (this may take 1-2 minutes).
